The Sons of San Jose Vietnam War Memorial honors San Jose's own service members who died in the Vietnam conflict. This memorial was erected in 2013 and has stood as a solemn and important reminder of the sacrifices of our fellow citizens. The memorial resides in the Arena Green section of Guadalupe River Park, facing Santa Clara Street.
Thank you to all of the donors who responded to our appeal for funds to retire the Memorial after it was defaced by vandals. A special thanks to GOOGLE for granting funds that will cover the costs of restoration and build a fund for future maintenance.
There is still a need to build a fund for future maintenance.
All funds will be sent to the San Jose Vietnam War Memorial Foundation (sjwarmemorial.com) and will be used only for restoration and maintenance of the memorial.
