San Jose Parks Foundation Honors 2024

San Jose Parks Foundation presents its Annual Fundraising Event (previously known as the Summer Soiree). This prestigious gathering of Parks Supporters, Luminaries, Mayors, Councilmembers and various Celebrities has been appropriately re-named The San Jose Parks Foundation Honors and is scheduled to be held at Roosevelt Roller Hockey Rink (at Roosevelt Park) on Thursday, August 29, 2024.

This event has always been and remains a celebration of genuine heroes of San Jose's Parks & Trails. This year, three Honorees will be presented with Awards.

They are: The Sharks Foundation, which has led the community in the building of two much-needed playgrounds and provided funding for the reconstruction of the Roosevelt Roller Hockey Rink; the PRNS Volunteer Crew, a staff of dedicated city employees that recruits, organizes, trains and manages thousands of volunteers every year, helping to maintain parks and trails beyond what the city budget covers; and, Helen Chapman, whose persistence in pushing the idea helped create the San Jose Parks Foundation, and she served on the Foundation's inaugural board.

The Parks Foundation Honors event features excellent food, drinks, friendship and fun in celebration of the people who make San Jose's Parks & Trails the wonderful community treasures that they are... And, we once again feature our Special Celebrity Guest Bartender, Sal Pizarro.
