Support Our Parks & Trails Volunteers on Giving Tuesday!

Giving Tuesday offers a great opportunity for us to support our parks & trails Volunteers, who annually provide thousands of hours of work. Regular cleaning and greening of parks and trails is provided by a variety of students and youth groups, by neighborhood supporters, corporate groups and individual volunteers. The reality is that beyond the excellent work of City employees, our parks and trails require hundreds of Volunteers annually.

COVID-19 restricted the City's ability to organize work groups. It didn't stop them, but it severely curtailed and slowed the efforts. Now we are able to get them goin g again, it is important that we have the funds to recruit, train, equip and mange them. This is where you can make a huge difference.

We need gloves, Grapplers, hoes, rakes, bags, and a variety of other tools. We also need to rehab the Van and the trailer that carries our equipment to the various parks and trails sites. You can help do this.

San Jose Parks Foundation Board Members have committed to match every dollar raised on Giving Tuesday up to $5,000. Your Giving Tuesday donation will be matched, doubling your impact.
